Toffee, one of my small furry clients was a cat that’d been attacked by dogs. He was recuperating with a cone around his neck in an animal pen so he couldn’t walk or put any weight on his recovering leg. Toffee’s tail hung down because it had been damaged during the altercation and he was ultra depressed to be deprived of his regular freedom and cuddles. After I sent him love and TheteHealing™ plus mental images of a happy, healthy cat his mood improved, his tail stood back up and he was on his way to recovery.

In some cases animals can also absorb sicknesses from their owners; or accumulate negative energy from their owner’s space in an attempt to help heal a situation. This is a very generous act on the animal’s part, but not good for their wellbeing as they don’t usually know how to release these energies. It’s for that reason I don’t allow family pets in to visit during my clients consultation. Also sometimes as ThetaHealers® we work on a condition or issue with the owner and then separately with the animal.

I was recently asked to help with a gorgeous Blue Heeler dog named Samantha. She’d been poorly for several weeks, losing weight and suffering from such bad diarrhoea she couldn’t be given painkillers to help with her limping back leg, she was also chronically depressed. I sent Samantha a distant healing and at almost exactly the same time she started to jump and run about, full of energy and with her leg restored to full bouncability!

Her grateful owner sent me a wonderful testimonial on Samantha’s behalf writing that “…since then I feel well, happy and have all my energy. I hope other pets can meet Nancy and be blessed by her healing”. If you see a very happy Blue Heeler around Huntly give her a pat from me.

I also know through caring for pets that whatever love and attention we lavish upon them they return unconditionally and ten-fold.

One of the most important things to remember when we’re doing a ThetaHealing™ with animals is to ask their higher self for permission to do any work, just the way we’d ask a person. Their carer may have said go ahead, but that’s only the first step. Animals, especially horses are sensitive and decidedly opinionated about who gets to wander into their space.

Each animal has its own higher self and that aspect is where you start. As a ThetaHealer® I address the higher self and if I get a feeling of being welcome I can by all means proceed; but if the door to their energy space is closed I need to respect that and realise I won’t be doing any ThetaHealing™ with them at this particular time.

You know this healing business shouldn’t be taken too seriously. The aim is to have more love, fun and joy in your life – not focus on the hassles you’ve inadvertently created. Or if you have an issue, get in and sort it fast, rather than marinating yourself into further misery. I know I’ve really overcome a limiting belief when I can have a laugh at my foibles, forgive myself for being such a klutz and move on.

I find one of the best ways to heal is frequently by having a good laugh, it can lower blood pressure and stress chemicals (adrenaline and cortisol), it can increase your feel good endorphins, and one minute of deep belly laughing is the equivalent of ten minutes on the rowing machine!

As I’ve progressed as a ThetaHealer® I now know that I’d rather watch a funny movie than some of the sombre and increasingly violent dramas that pass as entertainment. It’s infinitely more enjoyable to share a night of comedy DVD’s with the family because we laugh together!

Even my taste in books has changed – no not to mental bubble gum but definitely into more light hearted and uplifting themes. Newspapers can be really interesting but full of bad news so I’ve found I’m not such a news junky, and you know what – it hasn’t made one darned bit of difference to my life. I still function, care and keep informed without all the negativity. I guess the receptors in my little cells just want to have fun, fun and more fun. Sounds like a plan to me!

During a consultation I’m totally comfortable with this process because my clients have given me permission and asked for help. It’s completely up to them to decide whether to take on board what I say, ask for more information, or discuss what they think of it.

It’s a far cry from deciding what’s best for someone and waltzing up to them out of the blue to tell them you know what’s wrong with them. Thanks but no thanks! If you’ve ever encountered this kind of hit and run approach you’ll know what I mean and I’ve found that it’s often more about them than it is about you.

If people want help or advice let them first ask, then you may be able to offer some valuable insights because at least they’ll still be listening and receptive. Our intuition is a gift that should always be used with delicacy, tact and a healthy respect for others free will – then we really can make a difference.

I described the vision I’d been shown and explained that he was now consciously reconnected with his Angels and that it was possible to feel their presence when he thought about them.

Everyone can connect with their Angels but may experience them in different ways, for example some experience sensing lighter sparkles of energy around their physical body.

Many people have described feeling Angelic energy around them at times of both beauty and sadness. I’ve personally felt cradled with Angelic love when I lost someone close to me. Grief is a natural emotion and one we need to express but it’s not great to become lost within it. I’ve also helped many clients recover from the passing of a loved one through connecting them to their Angels and using an extremely beautiful ThetaHealing™ technique called “Healing for a Broken Soul”. It empowers us to arise from the ashes of a difficult experience and once again stand strong and loving within our own lives.

Whether you can see, sense, feel or hear them intuitively, we all have Angels that are always with us so we need never feel alone again.

My Angels inspired this post with a heart warming message that I’m happy to share. “We want you to know how much we love you and how very close we are; we’re always here and we never go away”. I now know that this message is completely true for me, but there were plenty of times in my life when these words would have brought me comfort if only I’d known how to receive them. Now my intuitive abilities are well developed and a part of my every day and professional life I know that I can intuitively hear their wisdom, feel their presence and see their light.

It wasn’t always this way. As a little girl I was presented with a traditional, religious idea of Angels. My childhood prayer books showed large Angels protecting innocent children as they walked perilously close to cliffs – something my mother personally ensured never happened. Mum was so effective I never considered Angels had much relevance in my life.

When I attended my first ThetaHealing™ class I felt a little sceptical about the whole thing, but thought I’d try out an ‘Angel Reading’. I was totally blown away to realise I could intuitively see amazing energy formations that surrounded my client, and what’s more that they had lovely messages of support to share through me. Now Angel readings are a delightful part of my ThetaHealing™ work.

My Manifesting & Abundance Workshop was filled with beautiful souls who as one participant said “were spellbound” as I guided the group through a manifesting process; gave them downloads with positive new emotions; and showed them how to open their minds and hearts to all the abundance Creator would like us to have.

What I found especially heart warming and reaffirming was to be able to share moments with a number of people who came up and told me about the wonderful things that have happened to them after their ThetaHealing™ classes or consultation.

One very happy young man said “What Nancy teaches really works – I manifested for my soul mate and look what happened” – as he shared a loving smile with the beautiful partner on his arm. Another energetic young lady said her golf had improved since her consultation; and what’s more she almost can’t recognise her friend she sent to me for a session because she’s so happy!

So Knowledge Tree and I had a wonderful time and plans are afoot for next year, but before I go I’d like to offer special thanks to the wonderful group of ThetaHealers® who helped me: Zenia Dunkley, Jane Scott and Jacky Abbott, they were a wonderful support.

Also a big thank you to Chris Cooper and his New Spirit Festival team, it’s their work and the collective effort of all the speakers and stallholders; plus the keen interest of all our visitors that enables this amazing event to happen.

Whether you’re a parent, professional or anyone else trying to fit too much into your busy life, one thing we all have in common is the need to look after ourselves. Funnily enough, loving ourselves is not necessarily foremost in our minds; we are usually too busy saying yes and looking after everyone else so your own needs fall to the bottom of a very large pile.

Carrying other’s burdens at your own expense, or never knowing how to stop and rest, is a sure fire way of burning out, or at the very least becoming resentful. That’s where it’s crucial to learn how to love one self enough to know when to put yourself first.

During a recent ThetaHealing™ session I worked with Jayne, (a healer herself), because she was having trouble with managing her workload and life: “I have to do everything I’m asked to do, I can’t ask for help – that would mean I’d failed. I am a perfectionist. Being able to be self-sufficient and independent were highly valued in my family and stopping to take a rest was seen as a copout or just plain lazy – so I just keep going until I drop – only then am I entitled to rest”.

Jayne felt truly incapable of managing her hectic life, so we worked on her underlying beliefs of failure and its consequences; and how her perfectionism could both serve and harm her. This kind of inner stress can contribute to conditions like chronic fatigue where we’ve ignored our body’s signals to rest, so it finally takes control and makes us rest.

I then used a ThetaHealing™ technique that teaches us positive new feelings in an instant – these included how to see herself as important and valued; that it was possible for her to control her workload; to know how to feel successful and how to live without feeling a failure if she sought help; that it’s possible to ask for help whilst also valuing the gifts of her perfectionism, self sufficiency and independency; and a new balanced definition of rest, relaxation and allowing her body to recharge itself. Jayne was also intuitively taught how and when to say no; and how to set boundaries before she needed them.

These changes allowed Jayne to recognise her achievements and the space to instigate some other simple solutions in her life: scheduling her diary with time out for holidays and days off – both were a marvellous psychological and physical help. Jayne got back into eating a good nutritious diet; she remembered to take her supplements; she also had a regular medical check-up to rule out any underlying causes for her fatigue; and she finally began to get regular rest and recreation away from her clients’ needs; everyday exercise found its way back into her life and she found time to have lots of fun with those she loved.

Jayne has learnt the valuable lesson of how to love herself enough to know when to put herself first, which in turn transformed her life through her new practice of knowing when and how to say the simple little word – no – and feel good about it.

Her family experiences had been complicated with an alcoholic Dad whom she loved but felt was unpredictable and untrustworthy. Once into a relationship her stress levels would rise and she’d want to run away and hide. Relationships had become scary and painful and she wondered if she wouldn’t be better off alone.

With her permission I cleared her feelings of being confused and unworthy of love. She was eager to know how and when to trust others; that it was possible to take the next step and live without stress. Margaret accepted changes so she could feel truly empowered to create the security and lasting love she knew she was capable of. With this fresh perspective Margaret felt it was now safe to let someone in to love her and it was time for Margaret to reassess the attributes she desired in her life partner. These changes brought her soul mate into her life. She returned to see me one year later, living her dream – happily married and expecting her first child.

Never give up on love – difficult feelings don’t need to be permanent and can be replaced with pure positive feelings of being cherished, nurtured and loved. Exploring and resolving your issues during a ThetaHealing™ session could change your life forever and open the way for you to meet your soul mate. Loving another fully and being totally loved in return is one of the best feelings on earth and one we deserve to experience.
